Cities have many departments that generate volumes of paperwork and the City of Santa Barbara is no exception. The Department of Administrative Services uses CheckMate Document Tracking to manage and archive their files.
Santa Barbara has an Enterprise Version (unlimited users) of the software, which allows multiple employees to access the database at any one time. They print file labels on laser printers and track the files as they move from desk to desk.
Archiving documents is made easier using the “kitting” feature of CheckMate Document Tracking, which allows multiple files to be stored in one location with one keystroke.
City of Santa Barbara employees say they are able to provide better customer service for their residents because the appropriate file is easy to find.
